Greenhouse by Joost is a temporary restaurant/art installation located in Sydney and designed by Dutch-born florist/artist/designer/sustainable living enthusiast Joost Bakker. The installation is built out of recycled materials and promotes sustainability and a waste-free philosophy.
Three shipping containers with a façade painted with orange and white images of children and butterflies stand adjacent to the structure with an entrance covered with terracotta strawberry pots.
Inside, the white walls are painted with environmental messages in thick black text. The chairs are made from irrigation pipes covered with leather off-cuts from a tannery. Recycled conveyor belts make up the floor.
